Description
EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager- Oracle Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate brings at least three years of hands-on experience with Oracle Database technologies and a strong background in PL/SQL development, database performance tuning, and data modeling. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle-based applications and database systems to support business operations effectively. The candidate possesses a bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field and demonstrates the ability to write efficient and scalable code while ensuring data accuracy and security. Although this position does not involve managing a team, it requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze system needs, and implement solutions that optimize existing database performance. The Assistant Manager will play a critical role in upgrading Oracle Forms and Reports to improve user experience and operational efficiency, as well as maintaining comprehensive documentation related to development processes and system architectures.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database objects including stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers using PL/SQL.
- Perform database performance tuning and optimization to ensure high availability and reliability of applications.
- Analyze and model data structures to support efficient data storage and retrieval in alignment with business requirements.
- Develop and enhance Oracle Forms and Reports applications to facilitate seamless data transaction and reporting.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver robust solutions.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and testing to ensure application quality, security, and compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to databases and Oracle applications promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain clear and detailed documentation of development activities, technical designs, and standard operating procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and functionality.
- Support database migration and upgrade activities to integrate new features and maintain compatibility with evolving infrastructure.
