Account Officer

Description

Al Rehman Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Officer to join our finance department. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum qualification of Bachelor of Commerce and possess at least two years of experience in accounting and sales tax. As an Account Officer, you will be responsible for managing financial records, performing detailed financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with sales tax regulations. You will lead a team of three persons, coordinating tasks and supporting their professional growth while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all accounting operations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with other departments to reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements. You must demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex data sets to provide actionable financial insights. Your expertise will contribute to sound financial management practices and support the overall financial stability of Al Rehman Group.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including ledger entries, account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Oversee sales tax documentation and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and operational efficiencies.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for management review.
• Coordinate and lead a team of three accounting personnel by assigning tasks, providing training, and monitoring performance.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information.
• Support audit activities by preparing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Identify areas for process improvement within the accounting function to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasting to guide financial planning.
