Description
This role demands coordination with various departments, including the kitchen, operations, procurement, and accounts, to guarantee the availability of necessary items for uninterrupted store operations. Proficiency in inventory management systems, documentation practices, and MS Excel for reporting purposes is advantageous. Attention to detail, integrity, punctuality, and the ability to manage stock efficiently under pressure are key to success in this position. You will also direct and support your team to maintain smooth day-to-day inventory and store functions, ensuring operational excellence within the hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire inventory cycle including receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing stock efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain and update accurate inventory records, ensuring all stock items are logged with correct details, including batch numbers and expiry dates.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Monitor stock levels continuously to prevent stock outs or overstocking and forecast inventory requirements in line with hospitality operations.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols in the storage and handling of inventory items to comply with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Supervise and lead a team of three inventory staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure productivity and quality standards.
- Coordinate with kitchen, operations, procurement, and accounts teams to ensure timely procurement and availability of inventory items.
- Identify and report issues related to stock wastage, damage, and discrepancies, and develop corrective action plans.
- Support periodic inventory audits and provide accurate documentation and reports as required by management.
- Utilize inventory management systems and MS Excel for tracking, reporting, and improving inventory controls and processes.
- Maintain vendor relationships by ensuring accurate receiving of goods and timely communication of any discrepancies or issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with company policies regarding stock security, risk assessments, and quality control practices.
