Description

Anwar Ul Harmain is seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial reporting, general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, auditing, and internal auditing. Experience using Catalyst Accounting Software and a background in the travel agency or ticketing business will be considered advantageous. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. The Accountant role requires a candidate who is highly detail-oriented, able to work independently, and maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial data. The role does not involve managing a team but requires effective coordination with various departments to ensure seamless bookkeeping and reconciliation processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a solid understanding of receivables, payables, and bank reconciliation are essential to perform well in this position.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Conduct internal audits and support external auditing processes to ensure proper financial controls.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain detailed bookkeeping records, including posting journal entries and verifying invoices.
• Utilize Catalyst Accounting Software to streamline financial processes and maintain records.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve accounting issues.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and company policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial data and act with integrity at all times.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities in an organized and timely manner.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts by providing accurate financial information.
• Continuously develop professional knowledge and skills in accounting and finance.
