The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience teaching English at the secondary school level and possess a strong foundation in English grammar, reading comprehension strategies, and sentence structure analysis. This role requires excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to design effective lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement well-structured lesson plans that align with the curriculum for classes 6 to 8.
- Teach core English subjects including grammar rules, sentence structure, reading comprehension, and verbal communication skills.
- Utilize various teaching methods and educational technology tools to engage students and enhance learning experiences.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to provide a focused and respectful learning environment.
- Conduct formative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Provide clear, constructive, and timely feedback to students to help improve their language skills.
- Encourage reading and writing exercises tailored to improve comprehension and expression.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school meetings and professional development activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievement, and other relevant information.
- Support the emotional and social development of students by creating a welcoming classroom atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
- Stay up to date on best practices and advances in English teaching and educational technology integration.
