EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking an experienced Manager Research to lead and oversee the research activities within the organization. The role requires managing a team of five professionals, driving insightful financial and economic analyses to support investment decisions and strategic planning. The ideal candidate applies expertise in macroeconomic forecasting, investment strategies, financial modelling, and valuations to deliver comprehensive research outputs that align with the company’s goals. In this role, the Manager Research collaborates closely with various stakeholders to ensure research findings effectively inform business strategies. The position demands strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to coordinate the team’s efforts and deliver timely, accurate, and actionable research insights. The Manager also handles ad hoc research assignments to respond swiftly to emerging market trends and corporate needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head of Research in making macroeconomic forecasts & investment strategies.
• Develop & review financial models, valuations & investment recommendations for both equity & fixed income instruments.
• Conduct feasibility assessments of corporate debt & other fixed-income proposals, presenting well-supported recommendations.
• Engage with company management, industry experts & other stakeholders to gather market intelligence & investment insights.
• Oversee side stock coverage, ad hoc research requests & contribute to special projects as required.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements.
• Familiarity with financial software & tools such as Bloomberg & Excel.
• Attention to detail, positive attitude towards work assigned & willingness to learn.
