Civil Supervisor – Residential Projects
We are looking for an experienced Civil Supervisor to oversee residential construction projects, ensuring quality workmanship, timely execution, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
Requirements
- Proven site supervision experience in residential houses or villas, covering both grey structure and finishing.
- Preferably 5 years of relevant experience.
- DAE in Civil Technology preferred; candidates with strong practical experience may also be considered.
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Good understanding of construction materials, methods, quality checks, and quantity measurements.
- Strong labour management, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Ability to plan daily activities and work independently under the project engineer or manager.
Salary: Negotiable based on experience and skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily civil construction site activities from excavation through to final finishing and handover stages.
- Monitor and control quality workmanship for reinforcement, shuttering, concrete pouring, brickwork, plastering, waterproofing, and flooring tasks.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, verifying site measurements, levels, and layout accuracy to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Coordinate labour teams, subcontractors, and material deliveries to maintain adherence to project schedules and minimize delays.
- Inspect incoming materials and workmanship regularly, identify defects, and enforce corrective actions promptly to uphold quality assurance standards.
- Collaborate effectively with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC teams ensuring civil works are properly integrated with other building services.
- Maintain comprehensive daily reports including progress updates, labour attendance, material consumption, and work measurement documentation.
- Optimize material usage to minimize wastage and uphold site safety protocols, including housekeeping, hazard identification, and compliance with safety guidelines.
- Identify and escalate execution challenges, drawing discrepancies, or proposed design changes to project engineers for resolution.
- Prepare and manage snag lists, supervising defect rectification activities prior to project handover to the client.
- Plan and organize daily construction activities independently while aligning with directives from project engineers or managers.
