Icon Developers is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years of experience working in a private limited company and possesses strong expertise in financial reporting, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring tax compliance. This role focuses on maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records, supporting audit processes, and adhering to relevant tax codes and regulations. The Accountant will play a vital role in streamlining financial operations and supporting informed decision-making through accurate financial analysis and reporting. The Accountant will work independently to oversee daily accounting functions without managing a team. This position requires thorough knowledge of the tax audit process and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently. The successful candidate will collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities to ensure compliance and maintain transparency. Attention to detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and a commitment to ethical standards are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations by preparing and submitting tax returns on time.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of relevant tax codes and stay updated on changes affecting the company.
• Coordinate and support the tax audit process by providing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
• Review and reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Maintain the general ledger and perform month-end and year-end closing activities accurately.
• Monitor and control fixed assets accounting and depreciation schedules.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support financial planning initiatives.
• Implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate external audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Document financial procedures and update accounting policies as needed to align with best practices and compliance requirements.
