Talent Pool 360 is seeking a dedicated Instructional Designer – Domain Specialist who combines solid instructional design skills with deep, hands-on experience in a specific professional domain. This role requires an individual with 2 years of practical expertise in domains such as Sales, Marketing, Cybersecurity, Finance, or Administration & Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing performance-focused learning solutions including training modules, simulations, scenarios, and assessments that reflect real business processes and challenges. This position includes leading a team of 20 professionals, ensuring collaboration and quality delivery of learning initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational knowledge and performance. This role is uniquely tailored for those who have demonstrated their ability to apply their domain knowledge through practical projects, effective use of relevant tools, and real-world problem-solving. Candidates should be able to translate complex domain expertise into structured and effective learning experiences that drive business results. Instructional design duties include conducting needs analysis, working closely with subject matter experts, creating learner and facilitator materials, and continuously updating and evaluating content. Practical experience with domain-specific tools and proven instructional design capabilities are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 20 instructional designers and learning specialists to deliver high-quality training content anchored in practical domain knowledge.
- Conduct training needs analysis and identify knowledge and performance gaps within assigned domains.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather accurate and relevant domain knowledge for instructional content development.
- Design and develop structured courses, learning paths, e-learning modules, and self-paced training materials that translate real-world business processes into effective learning experiences.
- Create practical simulations, scenarios, case studies, assessments, and job aids that foster skills application in authentic operational contexts.
- Convert standard operating procedures, technical documentation, and complex workflows into accessible and engaging training modules.
- Utilize AI and digital authoring tools to enhance instructional design processes and improve learner engagement and retention.
- Evaluate learning effectiveness through metrics and feedback, making data-driven updates to content to ensure alignment with changing business needs and processes.
- Demonstrate and apply project management skills in planning, executing, and delivering instructional design projects on time and within scope.
- Develop comprehensive facilitator and learner guides that support diverse learning styles and enhance instructional delivery.
- Maintain strong communication across cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth workflow and knowledge sharing.
- Support learners and stakeholders by addressing training-related inquiries and providing ongoing learning support.
- Stay current with emerging instructional design methodologies and domain-specific trends to maintain the relevance and effectiveness of training content.
- Document and share best practices, lessons learned, and instructional innovations with the wider Learning & Development community within the organization.
