Description

As an Accountant at Tariq Plastico (Pvt) Ltd, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions including preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing account reconciliations, and supervising general ledger activities. You will work closely with various departments to ensure proper accounting procedures are followed and financial data integrity is maintained. You will lead and mentor your team to improve operational workflows, enhance reporting accuracy, and support the company’s financial objectives. Your expertise in accounting software and financial reporting will be crucial in streamlining processes and delivering comprehensive financial insights that drive business growth and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department and a team of 10 accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations to verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain the general ledger by posting journal entries, adjusting entries, and ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
• Utilize accounting software to process financial information, generate reports, and maintain organized financial documentation and records.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors during audits to provide necessary financial documentation and resolve queries.
• Implement and improve accounting processes and controls to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all financial operations.
• Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to accounting team members, fostering professional development and ensuring high-performance standards.
• Monitor compliance with tax laws and other financial regulations, preparing reports and returns as necessary in coordination with tax advisors.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate historical financial data and insights into financial trends.
• Assist in the preparation of financial analysis and presentations for senior management to support strategic planning and business decisions.
