UpTrade Technologies seeks a highly organized and proactive Livestock Market Manager to lead procurement activities and ensure efficient market operations. This role requires managing a team of two persons responsible for coordinating the procurement and supply of livestock in alignment with buyer demands. The Livestock Market Manager will develop and implement strategic plans, foster strong partnerships with local communities, traders, and farmers, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations by overseeing procurement teams. This position demands practical knowledge of animal husbandry and market analysis to optimize inventory control and pricing strategies effectively. The incumbent will serve as the key liaison between the procurement team and the sales department, facilitating seamless communication and coordination with the Karachi sales team. They will also design and deliver training programs to enhance the skills of procurement agents on the ground, ensuring compliance with company standards and best practices. With a minimum of three years of relevant experience, this role requires a keen understanding of price trends and market fluctuations to maximize profitability while meeting customer requirements. The Livestock Market Manager plays a vital role in reinforcing UpTrade Technologies' commitment to sustainable and efficient livestock procurement across regions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to build and strengthen the procurement teams.
• Lead and manage a team of two procurement staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and achieving departmental goals.
• Collaborate closely with the Karachi sales team to coordinate daily procurement and supply of livestock according to buyer demands.
• Establish, maintain, and nurture partnerships with local livestock traders, farmers, and community stakeholders to support on-going procurement activities.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all livestock procurement operations, addressing challenges and ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Develop and conduct practical training sessions for procurement agents to enhance their skills in animal husbandry and market operations.
• Monitor and analyze price trends and market demands to optimize inventory control and procurement planning.
• Ensure compliance with relevant animal husbandry practices and industry regulations during all procurement activities.
• Implement inventory control measures to maintain appropriate stock levels and minimize losses.
• Evaluate procurement processes regularly to identify areas of improvement and implement effective solutions.
• Prepare regular reports on market analysis, procurement status, and team performance to inform company leadership.
• Support sustainable livestock procurement practices that benefit both the company and local communities.
