Description
YTO-HRL Logistics is seeking a highly skilled Business Finance Specialist to join our dynamic team in Pakistan. This role requires a financial expert with a strong understanding of complex and rapidly evolving business scenarios across multiple lines such as supply chain, freight, express delivery, and commerce. The specialist will act as a vital partner in guiding business decisions, ensuring accurate account calculations prior to contract signing, and safeguarding financial operations throughout daily business activities.
Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive financial due diligence on contracting models for new projects and key clients, assessing the optimal tax and contract structures between offshore and local entities.
• Accurately calculate tax burdens including PST, GST, withholding taxes, and corporate income taxes for various business lines, incorporating these into flexible pricing models to support competitive and profitable quotation plans.
• Provide daily financial and tax compliance guidance to frontline business teams, addressing invoicing procedures, applicable tax rates, and helping to interpret financial questions related to pricing and client contracts.
• Systematically monitor local regulatory environments, including policies from Pakistan’s Federal Board of Revenue, provincial tax authorities, and the State Bank of Pakistan, producing clear policy interpretations and risk warning reports to mitigate compliance exposures.
• Oversee daily cross-border compliance reviews focusing on withholding tax triggers, zero-rating for service exports, and bank remittance controls to prevent fund holds and tax penalties.
• Lead and supervise the local finance team of two, managing accurate bookkeeping, tax filings, and coordination with internal and external agencies to ensure reliable financial reporting and compliance.
• Develop and standardize local business finance processes and internal controls by integrating corporate headquarters standards with local Pakistan practices to strengthen financial governance.
• Utilize financial expertise to quickly understand complex and shifting business models, translating these insights into executable financial plans that align with the company’s strategic goals.
• Foster proactive problem identification and resolution, applying strong initiative and business acumen to drive effective financial solutions within ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.
