Zabs Industry seeks a highly skilled and creative Video Editor with at least 2 years of professional experience specializing in YouTube and social media content. The ideal candidate expertly handles editing from raw footage to polished final products, ensuring cinematic quality, compelling storytelling, and seamless pacing. Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve Studio and Adobe After Effects is essential. The role includes managing color grading, audio editing, visual effects, motion graphics, and thumbnail creation, all tailored to meet dynamic social media standards. Collaboration and communication within a small team of one direct report will be critical to delivering cohesive, high-impact videos that align with brand identity and creative goals. This position offers opportunities to work on diverse professional projects including short-form content such as Reels, Shorts, TikTok, commercial videos, and long-form editorial content. The chosen candidate will maintain project organization, ensure technical consistency across various formats and resolutions, and meet deadlines without compromising quality. Further, the role demands continuous learning and adapting to emerging post-production techniques to elevate content quality and viewer engagement on multiple social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Edit professional videos using DaVinci Resolve Studio and Adobe After Effects, managing the entire editing workflow from initial footage to final export.
• Perform advanced video editing tasks including cutting, trimming, sequencing, storyboard alignment, and narrative pacing to create engaging stories.
• Apply professional color correction and color grading techniques using DaVinci Resolve to enhance visual appeal and maintain consistency.
• Design and integrate motion graphics, animations, transitions, visual effects, titles, captions, subtitles, and lower thirds to enhance video dynamics.
• Conduct audio editing including sound synchronization, noise reduction, and basic sound design to deliver clear and immersive audio experiences.
• Create eye-catching thumbnails optimized for viewer engagement across YouTube and social media platforms.
• Organize and manage project files, raw footage, audio, graphic assets, and final outputs to streamline production processes.
• Deliver videos in multiple formats and resolutions tailored to project and platform specifications, ensuring optimal playback quality.
• Collaborate closely with creative teams to understand project goals, incorporate feedback, and revise content to meet creative standards.
• Maintain brand consistency in visual style and quality across all video projects, upholding company production standards.
• Manage and mentor a team of one person, overseeing workflow, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring deadlines are met efficiently.
• Stay updated with the latest editing technologies, software updates, and industry trends to continuously improve content quality.
• Prioritize multiple projects and deadlines effectively while maintaining a high level of detail and production value.

Preferred but not mandatory responsibilities may include:
• Edit and produce video content specifically designed for YouTube and other social media platforms, including short-form videos like TikTok clips and Instagram Reels.
• Work on commercial, promotional, and cinematic video projects reflecting advanced editing and motion graphics skills.
• Engage in more complex visual effects, compositing, and sound mixing tasks as needed.
• Contribute to long-term content strategies by suggesting creative ideas and editing techniques that attract and retain audiences.
