Description
We are looking for a skilled and responsible CCTV Network Operator with strong technical knowledge of both IP and Analog CCTV systems. The candidate should be capable of handling the complete CCTV system, including installation, configuration, networking, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the organization's CCTV network and ensuring that all cameras, recording systems, network devices, and monitoring equipment remain operational and properly maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain IP and Analog CCTV cameras.
- Install and configure DVRs, NVRs, monitors, switches, PoE switches, and other CCTV equipment.
- Perform CCTV camera installation, cable laying, termination, testing, and commissioning.
- Configure IP addresses, network settings, PoE devices, and CCTV network connections.
- Configure and troubleshoot DVR/NVR recording, playback, storage, and camera connectivity.
- Monitor all CCTV cameras and ensure continuous system operation.
- Troubleshoot camera, network, power, cable, DVR/NVR, and connectivity problems.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the complete CCTV network.
- Inspect cameras, cables, connectors, power supplies, storage devices, and networking equipment regularly.
- Replace faulty cameras, cables, connectors, power supplies, and other CCTV components when required.
- Maintain CCTV system documentation, device records, IP lists, maintenance records, and configuration details.
- Coordinate with technical teams for major faults, upgrades, expansions, and system installations.
- Ensure proper functioning of CCTV systems across all assigned locations and areas.
- Maintain CCTV equipment and network infrastructure in a secure and organized manner.
- Support remote monitoring and troubleshooting where applicable.
- Ensure CCTV systems comply with company security and operational requirements.
Recruiting Criteria
The ideal candidate must have:
- Strong practical knowledge of both IP and Analog CCTV systems.
- Complete understanding of CCTV installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of CCTV networking and IP-based surveillance systems.
- Ability to independently identify and troubleshoot technical faults.
- Good understanding of LAN, Ethernet, switches, PoE, IP addressing, and network connectivity.
- Ability to work with different CCTV brands, DVRs, NVRs, cameras, and networking equipment.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle field technical work.
- Strong attention to detail and responsibility for system uptime.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
Mandatory Qualification & Certification
- Minimum Education: FSC or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree: Strongly preferred.
- CCTV Network Certificate or Diploma:Mandatory.
- Relevant technical training or certifications in CCTV, networking, electronics, or IT will be an added advantage.

- Previous professional experience in CCTV installation, networking, operation, or maintenance will be preferred.
- Candidates with strong practical CCTV knowledge and relevant certification may also be considered.
- Experience with large-scale CCTV networks or security surveillance systems will be an advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Preference will be given to candidates who have a Bachelor's degree, mandatory CCTV Network Certificate/Diploma, and strong hands-on experience with both IP and Analog CCTV systems.
The ideal candidate should be able to independently handle a CCTV system from installation and network configuration to monitoring, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain both IP and Analog CCTV cameras, ensuring optimal placement and connectivity.
- Set up and manage digital video recorders (DVRs), network video recorders (NVRs), monitors, and related surveillance hardware including PoE and network switches.
- Perform installation tasks such as cable laying, terminations, system testing, and commissioning to guarantee system reliability and coverage.
- Configure IP addresses and network settings for CCTV devices to establish stable and secure network communications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cameras, network connections, power supplies, DVR/NVR functionality, and data storage systems promptly to minimize system downtime.
- Monitor live CCTV feeds continuously to detect and react quickly to any irregularities or equipment failures.
- Conduct comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance to preserve system longevity and performance.
- Regularly inspect all physical and network components including cameras, cables, connectors, power supplies, and storage units to identify wear or faults.
- Replace or repair defective hardware components throughout the surveillance network to maintain operational integrity.
- Maintain accurate documentation such as maintenance logs, system configuration details, IP address lists, and device inventory records to support transparency and efficient management.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams and external vendors on major repairs, system upgrades, expansions, or new installations, ensuring technical standards and security policies are met.
- Ensure all CCTV operations comply with Aetherion Engineering's security protocols, legal regulations, and industry best practices.
- Support remote access features and troubleshoot remote monitoring systems to facilitate offsite surveillance management.
- Maintain organized and secure storage and cabling for CCTV and network equipment to uphold system reliability and workplace safety.
