Description
Aeyliya Builders is seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to oversee and coordinate daily construction activities on site, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. This role requires a seasoned professional with at least 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in building, road, drainage, concrete, and infrastructure works. You will run the gangs at the work face and hold the daily output.
The Civil Foreman plays a vital role in reading blueprints, managing schedules, allocating resources, and enforcing construction safety compliance across the site. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong project management capabilities and a commitment to maintaining quality control throughout all phases of construction. Though this position does not include managing a team, the Civil Foreman must be proactive in collaborating with site workers and subcontractors to meet project timelines and specifications. Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and thorough site inspection routines are essential to ensure adherence to project plans and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction site activities to ensure work is progressing according to project plans and timelines.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide construction teams on site specifications and requirements.
- Maintain strict compliance with construction safety regulations and promote a safety-first culture among all personnel.
- Manage scheduling and planning to optimize resource allocation and minimize delays or disruptions on site.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality control, identify issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Coordinate delivery and use of materials, equipment, and workforce to maximize site productivity and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve challenges and update on progress.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of construction activities, incidents, and site conditions.
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to address any technical or structural concerns during construction.
- Monitor adherence to environmental and legal standards related to construction and infrastructure development.
