Afaq Projects and Consultancy is looking for a meticulous Accountant with a minimum of three years of experience in accounting and proficiency in ERP systems. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing general ledgers, preparing payment vouchers, and ensuring adherence to tax and financial regulations. The ideal candidate has expertise in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and using accounting software to support efficient financial operations. This role is critical to safeguarding the financial integrity of the organization by ensuring precise management of customer, vendor, and expense ledgers. The Accountant handles daily cashbook updates, bank reconciliations, and timely payment management without direct team leadership responsibilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to coordinate bank transactions and maintain confidentiality with all accounting data. The role also involves collaboration with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and support periodic audits, maintaining compliance with current financial standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update ledgers for customers, vendors, and company expenses to ensure financial accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and manage daily cashbooks and bank ledgers to accurately record all financial transactions.
• Prepare payment vouchers aligned with company policies and guarantee timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
• Monitor due payments, actively follow up to prevent payment delays, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Efficiently utilize ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to record, track, and generate comprehensive financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements regularly to identify and promptly resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Ensure confidentiality and integrity of accounting records and financial data at all times.
• Support the finance department during periodic audits by providing accurate documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect financial data, clarify inconsistencies, and improve accounting accuracy.
• Stay informed of changes in financial regulations and accounting standards to maintain compliance and update processes accordingly.
