AI Tech is seeking a highly skilled Lead Odoo ERP / MRP Specialist to join our remote team supporting a UK-based manufacturing company. This role requires a minimum of six years of hands-on experience in Odoo ERP implementation, with a significant focus on the Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) module. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in SAP Production Planning or Materials Management, possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, and have prior experience leading ERP projects and teams. This position involves direct coordination with the manufacturing business operations to optimize production workflows through effective Odoo ERP configuration and deployment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work UK business hours remotely are essential. Experience in steel, sheet metal, or fabrication industries and familiarity with AI-driven ERP automations are highly valued. The Lead Specialist will manage a small team of two professionals to deliver end-to-end ERP solutions that encompass data migration, system integration, user training, procurement management, and multi-level bill of materials handling. Responsibilities include overseeing manufacturing resource planning processes, production scheduling, inventory and warehouse oversight, and procurement workflows. Responsibilities
- Lead the full cycle of Odoo ERP implementation projects focused on manufacturing resource planning (MRP), ensuring successful delivery within scope, timeframes, and quality standards.
- Manage and mentor a team of two specialists, providing guidance on system configuration, customization, and integration with existing business processes.
- Design and configure Odoo ERP modules including bill of materials, routings, production planning, scheduling, inventory management, procurement, and supplier management.
- Conduct comprehensive ERP business process analysis to identify areas for optimization within manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Oversee data migration and system integration activities to ensure seamless transition from legacy systems to Odoo ERP with minimal disruption.
- Develop and execute user acceptance testing plans and deliver training sessions to ensure end-user proficiency and system adoption.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing and procurement teams to align ERP configuration with operational needs and compliance requirements.
- Utilize SAP experience to bridge functionality gaps and enhance Odoo ERP capabilities within the manufacturing environment.
- Implement manufacturing workflows within Odoo MRP modules to improve production efficiency, including multi-level bill of materials management and workflow routing.
- Coordinate with IT and external vendors to deploy Odoo ERP software updates, patches, and custom modules.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by integrating AI agents and automation tools with ERP systems to streamline processes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders through detailed reports and technical discussions, ensuring clarity and transparency in project status.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards while managing ERP security and access controls.
- Support procurement and supplier management activities within the ERP to optimize cost and supply chain management.
- Work remotely during UK business hours, maintaining a reliable and secure internet connection and professionalism in virtual collaboration environments.
- Prepare and maintain thorough documentation for ERP system configurations, workflows, user manuals, and training materials.
