Aims Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to provide comprehensive mental health services, including diagnostic assessment, cognitive behavioral therapy, and patient care management. The ideal candidate has at least one year of professional experience and a strong educational background, supported by relevant certification. This role involves conducting thorough mental health evaluations and psychological testing to develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual patients. Attention to detail and empathy are essential to support patients through their mental health journeys while maintaining accurate documentation and confidentiality. The Clinical Psychologist at Aims Wellness Center will not manage a team but will work collaboratively with other health professionals to ensure integrated care delivery. Responsibilities include conducting clinical interviews, administering psychological assessments, and performing mental status examinations to identify psychological conditions. The candidate must be skilled in evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, aiming to facilitate patients' recovery and enhance their overall well-being. This position requires a commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to ethical standards in clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed diagnostic assessments to determine mental health conditions in patients.
- Perform mental health evaluations and utilize psychological testing to inform diagnosis and treatment.
- Administer clinical interviews to gather comprehensive patient histories and current psychological status.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, focusing on cognitive behavioral therapy and other relevant therapeutic methods.
- Manage patient care through regular progress monitoring and adjustment of therapeutic approaches as needed.
- Conduct mental status examinations to evaluate patients' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functions.
- Maintain thorough documentation of clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient progress in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate holistic patient care and referrals when necessary.
- Stay informed of advances in psychological research and integrate new techniques into clinical practice.
- Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines and professional standards in all aspects of clinical work.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health issues and support mechanisms to improve patient outcomes.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment as required to manage acute psychological episodes.
