SENIOR BIM MODELLER - ELECTRICAL

Description

Al Ghurair Group is seeking a skilled Senior BIM Modeller - Electrical to join their team. The ideal candidate possesses a strong expertise in Electrical Systems Modeling and is proficient in Revit Electrical and Autodesk Revit. This position requires at least six years of experience working with Building Information Modeling, focusing on electrical systems within complex projects such as HV Substations. The candidate will work closely with project teams to ensure accurate and efficient creation, management, and implementation of electrical BIM models according to industry standards and company requirements. A sound understanding and practical application of ISO 19650 frameworks must be demonstrated throughout the project lifecycle. This role does not include team management responsibilities but requires excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. The Senior BIM Modeller will be responsible for integrating electrical systems within BIM workflows, coordinating closely with other disciplines, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards. This position is critical to enhancing project delivery through accurate digital modeling and information control in large-scale electrical engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit and Revit Electrical suited to high voltage substation projects.
• Implement and adhere to BIM standards and protocols according to ISO 19650 to ensure consistent and quality output throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs seamlessly within the overall BIM environment.
• Review and verify electrical system models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize Navisworks for clash detection and coordination to resolve design conflicts effectively before construction.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide BIM expertise and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems modeling.
• Manage the organization and digital documentation of BIM models ensuring efficient data management and retrieval.
• Provide technical support and guidance on software tools and BIM processes to improve modeling efficiency and output quality.
• Continuously update knowledge and skills in BIM software, electrical system design, and international BIM standards to keep pace with industry advancements.
• Communicate effectively in English to ensure clear and concise exchange of project information with internal teams and external stakeholders.
