Production Manager

Description

Al Noor Lasani-MDF Board Division is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee the entire production process of our MDF board manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering and bring at least 12 years of hands-on experience with a strong focus on board manufacturing and related production processes. This role demands a results-driven professional who can efficiently manage day-to-day production activities, ensuring that quality standards and production targets are consistently met. The Production Manager will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing workflows, minimizing waste, and maintaining strict safety protocols to foster a secure and productive work environment. This position involves leading a dedicated team of 30 personnel, requiring exceptional team leadership and coordination skills. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with maintenance and other departments to ensure smooth and uninterrupted plant operations. The Production Manager plays a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing process efficiency, reducing costs, and implementing lean manufacturing principles across the production floor. Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee the daily production operations to meet quality, quantity, and on-time delivery targets.
• Lead a team of 30 production staff, providing guidance, motivation, and performance management to achieve departmental goals.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline production processes and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Monitor and control production costs by optimizing resource utilization and minimizing waste throughout the manufacturing cycle.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
• Coordinate activities with the maintenance department to support uninterrupted production and timely resolution of equipment issues.
• Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
• Oversee quality control measures to guarantee that finished products meet the company’s stringent quality standards.
• Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to track production schedules, inventory levels, and reporting requirements.
• Develop and maintain production plans and schedules to optimize capacity and meet changing demand patterns.
• Train, mentor, and develop production staff to enhance their skills and promote professional growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, logistics, and engineering to ensure efficient production workflows.
• Manage and implement cost control initiatives to improve profitability while maintaining high product quality.
• Drive continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing wastage and enhancing process reliability and consistency.
• Prepare and present production reports, highlighting key performance indicators, operational challenges, and progress on improvement initiatives.
