Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical assessments to diagnose illnesses and develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Perform specialized procedures within family medicine or internal medicine expertise to manage complex cases.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment protocols accordingly to optimize health outcomes.
- Provide expert second opinions and manage high-risk or complicated cases that require advanced clinical judgment.
- Offer clinical guidance and mentorship to junior medical staff, fostering professional development and ensuring quality care delivery.
- Lead and actively participate in case discussions, grand rounds, and interdisciplinary meetings to facilitate collaborative healthcare decision-making.
- Engage in clinical research, participate in trials, and contribute to academic publications to advance medical knowledge.
- Stay abreast of the latest medical developments and integrate best practices into patient care regimen.
- Conduct educational sessions and workshops to enhance healthcare staff’s clinical skills and knowledge base.
- Ensure strict adherence to hospital policies, medical protocols, and local regulatory standards to maintain compliance and patient safety.
- Monitor and promote patient safety measures, infection control protocols, and ethical medical practices consistently.
- Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital accreditation processes to uphold high standards of care.
- Collaborate effectively with other specialists, surgeons, and allied healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient management.
- Develop holistic treatment plans that include rehabilitation, therapy, and preventive care strategies to support long-term patient well-being.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and their families regarding medical conditions, treatment choices, and health risk assessments.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the line manager to support hospital operations and patient care excellence.
