Description
Alif is seeking an experienced Steel Furnace Operator to oversee and manage the operation of steel furnaces in a manufacturing environment. This role requires a dedicated professional with at least five years of experience in steel furnace operation, ensuring the efficient and safe melting and treatment of steel materials. The operator is responsible for monitoring furnace parameters, adjusting controls, and maintaining the quality of the steel production process. The ideal candidate communicates effectively in English and follows all safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free workplace. The Steel Furnace Operator will work independently and is not required to manage a team. This role demands precision in handling overhead crane operations to move heavy steel materials safely and efficiently. The operator contributes to minimizing downtime, optimizing furnace performance, and maintaining compliance with operational standards throughout the production cycle.
Responsibilities
- Operate and control steel furnaces to melt and process steel according to production specifications.
- Monitor furnace temperatures, pressure levels, and other parameters to ensure product quality and furnace safety.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of furnace equipment to prevent malfunctions and breakdowns.
- Operate overhead cranes to load and unload steel materials safely during the production process.
- Adjust furnace settings and controls to optimize efficiency and meet changing production demands.
- Ensure all operations comply with established safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Record operational data accurately for tracking production performance and maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to furnace alarms or faults and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with other production team members to maintain smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and operational efficiency.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to equipment operation, safety, and reporting.
