Responsibilities
- Develop and implement detailed lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for Social Studies and History.
- Use historical inquiry and analysis techniques to engage students in examining primary and secondary sources.
- Create a positive and well-managed classroom atmosphere that fosters respect and active learning.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, projects, and assignments to monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Incorporate literacy and critical thinking instruction to enhance students’ analytical skills and comprehension.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, achievements, and behavior.
- Collaborate with school administration and fellow educators to support academic programs and initiatives.
- Stay informed about developments in Social Studies and History education to continually improve teaching strategies.
- Prepare students for upper middle-level academic challenges by promoting critical discussion and historical perspective.
- Ensure alignment of teaching content with the school’s educational goals and standards.
- Encourage students to explore the relevance of historical events to contemporary society.
- Participate in professional development activities and school events as required.
