Alpha Auto Service Centre is seeking a skilled Auto Painter with at least two years of experience to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate specializes in automotive surface preparation, paint mixing and color matching, and spray gun operation. You will work with precision to restore and enhance vehicle exteriors by applying paint coatings and finishes, ensuring high-quality workmanship. This role requires attention to detail, a thorough understanding of paint booth operation, masking and taping techniques, and sanding and feather edging to deliver flawless results. While this position does not involve managing a team, strong individual performance and collaboration with colleagues are essential to meet service standards and customer satisfaction. As an Auto Painter at Alpha Auto Service Centre, you will be responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces for painting, mixing paints accurately to achieve the correct color and finish, and applying paint using spray guns according to safety and quality guidelines. You will also handle masking and taping to protect vehicle parts during painting processes, operate paint booths to maintain proper environmental conditions, and conduct sanding and feather edging to smooth surfaces. The role demands solid technical skills, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining the centre's reputation for high-quality automotive repairs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare automotive surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and removing old paint to ensure proper paint adhesion.
• Mix paints and match colors accurately to meet specific vehicle requirements and customer expectations.
• Operate spray guns and other painting equipment to apply paint coatings evenly and according to safety standards.
• Perform masking and taping on vehicles to protect trim, glass, and other areas during the painting process.
• Operate and maintain paint booths to provide a controlled environment free of dust and contaminants.
• Sand and feather edge painted surfaces to eliminate imperfections and prepare for final finishing.
• Inspect completed paint jobs to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with the repair team to coordinate vehicle preparation and finishing work efficiently.
• Maintain knowledge of new painting techniques, tools, and materials to enhance job performance.
