Description
Amna Memon Hospital seeks a dedicated and experienced General Physician to provide high-quality medical care and manage clinic operations with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate possesses 5 to 10 years of experience in clinical practice and demonstrates proficiency in patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and comprehensive patient care. This role involves conducting thorough clinical examinations, interpreting laboratory and diagnostic results, accurately documenting medical records, and ensuring patient education. The General Physician will also manage a small team of two healthcare professionals, coordinating clinical workflows to maintain efficient and effective patient services. The General Physician plays a crucial role in improving patient outcomes by making informed clinical decisions, prescribing appropriate medications, and referring patients to specialists when necessary. In addition, the physician maintains strong communication with patients to explain health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care. Managing clinical laboratory workflows and handling electronic health records are essential components of the position, ensuring accurate data management and compliance with hospital standards. This role requires confidence and excellence in managing the clinic's daily functions while maintaining a high standard of healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including clinical examinations, patient history taking, and physical examinations to diagnose medical conditions accurately.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans and prescribe medications tailored to each patient's medical needs.
- Review and interpret laboratory and diagnostic test results to support patient diagnosis and treatment decisions.
- Arrange specialist referrals when necessary to ensure patients receive the appropriate care beyond general practice.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and up-to-date medical records and documentation following clinical and hospital protocols.
- Provide clear and compassionate patient communication, including education about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
- Supervise and manage a clinical team of two healthcare professionals, ensuring efficient coordination of patient care activities and clinical workflows.
- Manage the clinic independently with confidence, managing patient flow, prioritizing urgent cases, and facilitating smooth operations.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems effectively to document patient information, access medical histories, and streamline workflow.
- Make timely and informed clinical decisions based on patient conditions to achieve the best health outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, protocols, and hospital policies in all medical practices and patient care activities.
