Description
The Assistant Superintendent at ANJUMAN HIMAYAT I ISLAM LAHORE plays a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the care and administration of a girls' orphanage. This position requires a dedicated individual who can ensure the wellbeing and daily needs of the residents while maintaining strict organizational standards. The Assistant Superintendent manages a team of 25 personnel, ensuring efficient resource allocation, scheduling, and project management to support the institution's objectives. The candidate must be present on-site 24 hours a day with only one day off weekly, providing consistent supervision and support. This role requires the Assistant Superintendent to uphold the institution's policies rigorously, facilitating communication with stakeholders, managing budgets, and ensuring that the welfare of the children is prioritized. The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of operation from scheduling to stakeholder communication and financial oversight, contributing to a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. The position demands strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure while respecting the cultural and operational rules set forth by the institution.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily care, welfare, and administration of the orphanage ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all residents.
- Manage and lead a team of 25 staff members, directing their tasks and maintaining high-performance standards.
- Maintain continuous presence on-site, providing supervision and ensuring that assistance and support are available around the clock.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate all activities and resources within the orphanage to optimize operational efficiency.
- Manage the institution’s budget, ensuring the proper allocation and use of financial resources in line with organizational goals.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders including family members of residents and institutional management to provide updates and address concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and legal regulations governing the care and protection of children.
- Develop and implement procedures and protocols that promote a safe and nurturing environment.
- Handle reporting and documentation related to daily operations, incidents, and administrative requirements.
- Facilitate weekly coordination of staff schedules, leave management, and emergency response plans.
- Ensure the cultural and procedural norms of the institution are strictly followed, including visitation rules and resident interactions.
- Coordinate the provision of meals and lodging in collaboration with the institution’s catering and maintenance teams.
