Ansaar Management Company (Pvt) Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to lead accounting operations and financial reporting for its US-based business activities. This position requires a strong understanding of US accounting standards, including US GAAP, to ensure accurate and timely financial management. The Senior Accountant will oversee daily tasks such as accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing activities. The role involves preparing financial statements, management reports, and supporting audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This position demands an individual with excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders across different time zones. The ideal candidate for this role will have a professional accounting qualification and significant practical experience handling complex accounting processes within US accounting frameworks. With a solid background in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Xero, the Senior Accountant will also take responsibility for maintaining precise financial records, facilitating budgeting and forecasting efforts, and ensuring overall financial accuracy. This position involves managing a small team, allowing the incumbent to provide leadership and guidance to a junior staff member while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Overall, this role is critical to ensuring the company’s financial operations run smoothly and comply fully with US accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily US accounting operations including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports that comply with US GAAP and company policies.
- Coordinate and execute month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.
- Ensure strict adherence to US accounting standards and internal control frameworks to maintain compliance and reduce risk.
- Maintain detailed and accurate accounting records to support audit processes and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with US-based clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to streamline accounting workflows and resolve any issues.
- Lead the preparation and submission of tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws using appropriate tax filing software.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to aid business planning and financial decision-making.
- Manage and mentor a junior accounting team member, providing guidance on technical accounting tasks and professional development.
- Coordinate audit activities by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries promptly.
- Utilize accounting software tools such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Xero to maintain financial data integrity and reporting accuracy.
- Apply strong Excel skills to analyze financial information, generate reports, and automate routine accounting tasks where possible.
