Anwar Khawaja Industries Pvt Ltd seeks a skilled Electrical Engineer to ensure the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment within the factory. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minimizing machine downtime while adhering to electrical safety standards. This position requires hands-on experience working with industrial electrical equipment and systems, including motors, control panels, MCCs, VFDs, sensors, and power distribution networks. The engineer drives continuous improvement efforts to enhance machinery reliability and supports energy-saving initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses at least three years of experience in electrical maintenance or engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment. They demonstrate strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to perform root cause analysis of electrical faults. This role involves close coordination with production teams to reduce breakdowns and maintain uninterrupted operations. Though this position does not involve managing a team, the engineer will provide technical guidance to electricians and technicians as needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain smooth and uninterrupted operation of all electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in the factory.
- Perform efficient electrical troubleshooting and promptly resolve machine breakdowns and electrical faults.
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for electrical equipment.
- Maintain and service motors, control panels, MCC panels, variable frequency drives, sensors, relays, contactors, breakers, and electrical distribution systems.
- Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing and measuring instruments.
- Monitor electrical systems continuously to detect potential failures before breakdowns occur.
- Uphold maintenance of electrical distribution systems, including low tension panels, distribution boards, cables, breakers, and protection devices.
- Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of generators, UPS systems, and other electrical utilities where applicable.
- Support installation, commissioning, modification, and relocation of production machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate with production departments to minimize machine downtime and avoid interruptions in manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and checklists to maintain equipment reliability.
- Maintain detailed records of breakdowns, repairs, preventive maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment history.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring electrical problems and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor availability of critical electrical spare parts and coordinate procurement with Stores and Purchase departments.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards including proper earthing, electrical protection, isolation procedures, and workplace safety.
- Support company policies and regulatory requirements to maintain electrical safety and operational standards.
- Identify and propose electrical energy-saving measures and operating cost reduction opportunities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to electricians and technicians during maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
- Coordinate specialized electrical works with external contractors and service providers.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing machinery reliability and electrical system performance.
