Description
The Chemical Engineer will play a vital role in designing, analyzing, and optimizing chemical processes to improve product quality and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include developing process flow diagrams, utilizing process simulation software, and conducting pilot plant experiments to validate theoretical designs. The candidate will also contribute to troubleshooting and refining instrumentation and control systems to maintain process stability. This position requires a strong foundation in chemical engineering principles and the ability to adapt to evolving technical challenges while following safety standards and company protocols.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize chemical processes using process simulation software and chemical process modeling techniques.
- Design and prepare process flow diagrams (PFD) that clearly illustrate process steps and equipment.
- Conduct pilot plant operations to test and refine chemical processes in a controlled environment.
- Analyze materials science properties to select appropriate substances for specific chemical reactions and process conditions.
- Monitor and improve instrumentation and control systems to enhance process reliability and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process improvements and project implementation.
- Identify potential risks and ensure compliance with safety regulations during process operation and development.
- Troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal performance.
- Document technical procedures, process changes, and experimental results for knowledge sharing and regulatory purposes.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives through research and application of new technologies.
