Description
As a Sports Teacher at As-Suffa School of Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in fostering students' physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct regular physical education and sports classes tailored to the students' age and skill levels. You will design and deliver engaging sports and fitness activities that promote healthy lifestyles and physical development. As an educator, you will also contribute to organizing school sports events, including inter-house competitions and annual sports days, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants. In this role, you will use your strong knowledge of various sports and physical fitness activities to train and supervise school sports teams, encouraging participation and skill improvement. Your responsibilities extend to maintaining sports equipment and implementing safety practices, including first aid and child safeguarding measures. Effective communication and student management skills are essential as you interact with students to monitor their progress and motivate them to achieve their physical education goals. This position is ideal for a passionate individual with at least one year of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular physical education and sports classes that engage students of different age groups.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate sports and fitness activities to enhance students’ physical abilities.
- Train, supervise, and motivate school sports teams to improve performance and teamwork.
- Organize and manage inter-house competitions and annual school sports events, ensuring smooth execution.
- Maintain sports equipment, ensuring it is safe, functional, and properly stored.
- Ensure student safety by applying knowledge of first aid, sports safety protocols, and child safeguarding guidelines.
- Monitor students’ participation, physical development, and progress, providing feedback to support their growth.
- Promote values of discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork among students through various sports activities.
- Collaborate with school staff to integrate physical education objectives into the broader school curriculum.
- Stay updated with recent developments in sports and physical education to continually enhance teaching methods.
