Maintaining an organised and welcoming classroom atmosphere is essential to encourage student engagement and a love for learning. You observe and assess student progress meticulously, ensuring records are accurate and up-to-date. Building positive relationships with parents through regular communication is fundamental to support each child's growth. Collaborating effectively with colleagues, you contribute to the school’s vision, values, and educational goals. This position requires excellent communication and classroom management skills, along with a passion for teaching and nurturing young learners. While this role does not involve managing a team, strong teamwork and collaborative teaching skills are important for success within the educational community.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons utilizing Montessori and early years teaching approaches.
• Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independent learning.
• Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development through thoughtfully designed educational activities.
• Observe, assess, and document students' developmental progress accurately and consistently.
• Develop creative learning activities that foster exploration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with parents, providing regular, clear feedback on student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align teaching strategies with the school's educational vision, values, and objectives.
• Ensure the classroom environment is organised, welcoming, and conducive to effective learning experiences.
• Implement behavior management strategies to create a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere.
• Utilize educational technology effectively to enhance teaching and student engagement.
• Employ classroom management techniques that promote a disciplined and productive learning space.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with Montessori and early childhood education best practices.
• Incorporate phonics instruction effectively using approved training or certification programs for language development.
• Demonstrate patience, empathy, and enthusiasm in daily interactions to motivate and inspire young learners.
• Support collaborative teaching initiatives and cooperative learning techniques to maximize student achievement.
