Description
As a Civil Surveyor at Asa Engineers & Traders, you will play a crucial role in collecting and interpreting data that shapes construction and land development projects. You are responsible for measuring and mapping the physical characteristics of the land, using precise surveying equipment and techniques. With at least five years of field experience, you will reliably conduct surveys to establish legal land boundaries, prepare site plans, and support engineering efforts in a variety of civil projects. You will manage a small team of one person, providing guidance and ensuring accurate data collection and reporting. This position demands a strong understanding of land surveying principles and safety procedures. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure that project specifications are met and that all surveying tasks adhere to regulatory standards. Your expertise will contribute directly to the successful planning and execution of projects that enhance infrastructure and community development.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed land surveys to establish boundaries, topography, and other site conditions using specialized equipment and technology.
- Interpret survey data and create accurate site maps and reports essential for engineering, construction, and legal purposes.
- Manage and oversee a team member, providing training, supervision, and support during fieldwork to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to deliver survey results that meet project requirements and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and survey standards during all field activities to protect team members and equipment.
- Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments regularly to ensure precision and reliability of measurements.
- Prepare detailed documentation and maintain records of surveys, including field notes, legal descriptions, and project updates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to surveying equipment and methodologies to minimize project delays.
- Stay updated on developments in surveying technology, methods, and legal regulations to continuously improve survey accuracy and efficiency.
