The Assistant Supply Chain Officer plays a critical role in supporting the efficient operation of supply chain processes. This position requires collaborating closely with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure seamless demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and order fulfillment. The role is responsible for monitoring transportation management systems, managing compliance and documentation, and leveraging data analysis to improve overall supply chain performance. With at least two years of relevant experience, the Assistant Supply Chain Officer is expected to maintain strong communication to coordinate activities and streamline operations effectively. In addition to functional responsibilities, the Assistant Supply Chain Officer leads a team of five individuals. This leadership component involves guiding team members to meet operational goals, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that timely and accurate supply chain activities are executed. The role demands a proactive approach to supplier relationship management and logistics coordination, driving initiatives that optimize the entire supply chain cycle from procurement through delivery while adhering to compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate demand forecasting activities to accurately predict supply needs and avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
• Manage supplier relationships by communicating requirements, negotiating terms, and resolving supply issues promptly.
• Oversee order fulfillment processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers or distribution centers.
• Utilize transportation management systems to plan and monitor logistics operations, ensuring cost efficiency and timely shipment.
• Conduct data analysis to identify supply chain inefficiencies and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
• Optimize inventory levels by analyzing stock movement and adjusting procurement plans accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations by maintaining accurate documentation and audit readiness.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of five supply chain staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to meet departmental objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as procurement, sales, and warehouse operations to synchronize the supply chain process.
• Implement supply chain optimization initiatives to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance customer satisfaction.
