The Supply Chain Incharge at Automobile Ind plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes to ensure efficient flow of materials and products. This position involves overseeing inventory management, procurement, logistics coordination, and supplier relationship management to meet the company’s operational needs. The role demands strong skills in handling warehouse operations, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and expertise in transportation management to ensure timely delivery and accurate inventory control. This position requires experience in working with enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP or Oracle and a thorough understanding of supply chain risk assessment. The candidate applies their knowledge of MS Excel to maintain precise documentation and achieve daily closing status reports. This role necessitates a detail-oriented professional focused on streamlining supply chain activities within the automobile industry. Although this position does not involve managing a team, it requires close collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure seamless supply operations and continuous improvement of processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily inventory levels by coordinating with procurement and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Oversee logistics coordination to ensure materials and finished goods are transported efficiently and in compliance with regulations.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships to negotiate terms, assess supplier risks, and ensure reliable supply of quality materials.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to monitor storage, inventory movement, and ensure accurate record keeping.
- Implement procurement management processes aligned with company policies to acquire goods in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Control inventory through accurate tracking, reporting discrepancies, and performing regular audits.
- Leverage ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle for supply chain planning, order processing, and data analysis to support decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate closing of daily supply chain status reports, including thorough documentation and transaction records using MS Excel.
- Monitor transportation management activities to optimize routing, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
- Conduct supplier risk assessments to mitigate potential disruptions and ensure continuity of supply.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, sales, and finance to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Continuously analyze supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to increase efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standard operating procedures within warehouse and logistics operations.
- Prepare detailed reports on supply chain performance, inventory status, procurement activities, and logistics metrics.
