Batech is seeking a dedicated Medical Billing Expert to join our team and lead billing operations with precision and expertise. This role involves managing a team of 10 professionals to ensure accurate processing of medical claims, insurance verifications, and coding. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in medical billing within the United States and demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and billing software. This position demands strong leadership skills to supervise the team and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations while optimizing revenue cycles. The Medical Billing Expert plays a critical role in facilitating smooth financial interactions between healthcare providers and insurance companies. Responsibilities include overseeing electronic health record systems, ensuring timely submission of claims, verifying insurance details, and managing claim denials or disputes. The successful candidate will utilize a range of billing and claims processing software to analyze coding data and support reimbursement accuracy. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 10 medical billing specialists to achieve departmental goals and maintain high performance standards.
- Oversee the accurate coding of medical procedures and diagnoses using established medical coding systems.
- Conduct insurance verification to confirm patient coverage and benefit eligibility prior to billing.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of medical claims to insurance companies and government payers.
- Monitor and resolve claim denials, rejections, and disputes to maximize revenue recovery.
- Utilize medical billing software and claims processing software to maintain precise billing records.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations within the US.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to clarify billing issues and optimize documentation.
- Analyze billing reports and perform audits to detect discrepancies and improve billing accuracy.
- Implement and supervise the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems for streamlined claim management.
- Train and guide team members on best practices in medical billing processes and software usage.
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards related to patient billing and data security.
- Continuously evaluate and improve billing workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
