BBJ Pipes Industries Pvt. Ltd is looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Import Manager specializing in electric vehicles, cargo loaders, three-wheelers, and their spare parts to manage import operations from China to Pakistan. The role demands managing sourcing, purchasing, and overseeing the entire import process with a strong focus on compliance, cost control, and supplier management. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of electric vehicle import regulations, customs procedures, and international logistics to ensure timely and efficient delivery while meeting Pakistani import policies. This role requires close interaction with Chinese manufacturers and suppliers to negotiate terms, verify product quality, and handle complex documentation and customs clearance. The Import Manager must coordinate shipping, freight, insurance, and after-sales aspects, ensuring smooth coordination between overseas suppliers and local operations without managing a team. Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and expertise in supply chain and customs compliance are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with manufacturers and suppliers of electric vehicles, cargo loaders, and related spare parts in China to secure favorable prices and terms.

• Assess supplier credibility and verify technical specifications, certifications, and product quality to meet company and regulatory standards.

• Prepare and coordinate pro forma invoices, purchase orders, contracts, and payment arrangements to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Manage international shipping logistics, including freight forwarding, insurance arrangements, and coordination of import documentation to guarantee timely deliveries.

• Oversee customs clearance processes by liaising with customs authorities, ensuring compliance with Pakistani import regulations, duties, taxes, and necessary approvals.

• Track shipments throughout transit from China to Pakistan and organize local transportation arrangements to company locations or warehouses.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for ongoing negotiations, cost control, and supplier performance monitoring.

• Coordinate pre-shipment inspections, warranty claims, availability of spare parts, and after-sales support to maintain client satisfaction and operational continuity.

• Ensure all imports comply strictly with Pakistan’s electric vehicle import regulations, homologation requirements, and trade documentation standards.

• Monitor market trends and changes in international trade policies to proactively adjust import strategies and maintain competitiveness.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all import transactions, compliance documents, and supplier agreements for auditing purposes.

• Collaborate with internal teams such as finance and inventory to align import planning with demand forecasts and company goals.
