Attention to detail and a strong sense of fitting are critical in accurately executing custom garments. This role involves creating new cuts and modern designs, requiring creativity and precision. The candidate should have hands-on experience handling different fabric textures and qualities, adapting cutting and stitching techniques accordingly. The position does not involve managing a team, but requires independent working capability and a dedication to craftsmanship within the tailoring process.
Responsibilities
- Cut fabrics accurately according to specific patterns and garment designs.
- Create and modify patterns to ensure proper fit and style of garments.
- Operate industrial sewing machines and other related equipment efficiently.
- Perform professional stitching and finishing tasks to meet high-quality standards.
- Handle various types of fabric, understanding their individual characteristics to apply appropriate cutting and stitching techniques.
- Work on developing new cuts, modern fashion styles, and creative designs.
- Execute custom garment designs with precision and ensure appropriate fitting.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and ensure safety standards are followed.
- Collaborate with designers and clients to understand and fulfill customization requests.
- Monitor and maintain quality control throughout the tailoring process.
