Senior QA Engineer

Description

BisViews seeks a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with over four years of professional experience to lead quality assurance efforts for our innovative platform. This role requires expertise in both manual and automation testing to guarantee the software's quality, reliability, and performance. The Senior QA Engineer will actively collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, backend, data engineering, and DevOps to develop comprehensive test strategies and deliverables. Responsible for managing a team of five quality assurance professionals, the ideal candidate will inspire and guide the team towards excellence, ensuring all project goals meet rigorous standards and company objectives. The successful candidate will demonstrate hands-on experience with tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress for automation testing and employ API testing techniques using Postman. The role demands familiarity with SQL and database testing, alongside deep knowledge of regression, integration, and performance testing. Experience working in an Agile development environment with tools like Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Jira is essential. As a remote, full-time position, the Senior QA Engineer will contribute across distributed teams, supporting continuous integration and delivery to maintain the platform’s high quality in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the QA team of five members by mentoring, training, and providing clear guidance to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to testing standards.
• Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts covering functional, regression, integration, performance, and database testing.
• Design and implement automation testing strategies using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress to increase coverage and efficiency.
• Conduct thorough API testing using Postman to validate endpoint functionality, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate closely with frontend, backend, data engineering, and DevOps teams to understand feature requirements and provide timely feedback on quality metrics and risks.
• Analyze testing outcomes, identify defects, track issues using Jira, and communicate findings effectively with development teams to facilitate timely resolutions.
• Utilize SQL skills to perform comprehensive database testing ensuring data integrity and consistency across system processes.
• Implement performance testing approaches to evaluate system scalability, responsiveness, and stability under varying loads.
• Champion best practices in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) by integrating testing activities into automated build pipelines.
• Promote Agile methodologies by participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release readiness reviews to align QA activities with project timelines and objectives.
