PMC – Material Planning & Control

Carlcare is seeking an experienced PMC – Material Planning & Control professional to join our team. This role requires an individual with at least three years of experience in material planning, inventory management, and demand forecasting. The successful candidate will oversee a team of 30 persons, ensuring optimal control and management of materials to meet production and supply chain demands efficiently. Key to success in this role is the ability to analyze data, forecast accurately, and coordinate with various departments to maintain seamless inventory flow vital to the company's operations. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and possesses strong skills in inventory management and control, demand forecasting, supply planning, and advanced Microsoft Excel data analysis. This person will lead the material planning and control team by organizing workflow, setting clear objectives, and fostering a collaborative environment. Their expertise will help reduce costs, prevent stockouts, and maintain optimal material levels, contributing significantly to the company’s operational and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement material planning and control strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize costs.
• Forecast demand accurately using historical data, market trends, and collaboration with sales and production teams.
• Manage the procurement and supply planning process to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Lead and supervise a team of 30 material planning and control professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
• Analyze inventory data continuously using Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate with suppliers, production, and warehouse departments to maintain appropriate stock levels and prevent material shortages or surpluses.
• Develop and maintain metrics and reports on material usage, inventory turnover, and forecasting accuracy for senior management review.
• Implement inventory control policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
• Train team members on best practices in inventory management, demand forecasting, and data analysis.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all material planning activities.
• Identify risks in supply chain and material availability, and develop mitigation plans to address potential disruptions.
• Continuously seek process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance material planning and control functions.
