Description
CDigital is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician with at least three years of experience in electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and safety of electrical systems across various projects throughout Pakistan. This role requires hands-on expertise with single-phase and three-phase wiring, diagnosing electrical issues, interpreting schematics and blueprints, and adhering strictly to the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. The position is on-site in Islamabad, involves working six days a week, and requires willingness to travel to different project locations. Immediate joiners are preferred to support ongoing and upcoming assignments. The Electrical Technician will play a crucial role in executing domestic, commercial, and industrial electrical installations. The role entails working with distribution boards, circuit breakers, backup power systems, and motor controls. Strong diagnostic skills will be essential in managing power supply troubleshooting, UPS installation and maintenance, and short circuit issue resolution. The technician will handle conduit installation, cable laying, and the use of specialized tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers. Although this role does not involve team management, effective communication and coordination with project teams will be important to ensure project success and compliance with safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical troubleshooting to diagnose faults and implement corrective actions efficiently.
- Install and maintain electrical wiring, conduit systems, and domestic, commercial, and industrial electrical equipment.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to guide installations and repairs accurately.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local safety standards.
- Conduct PLC I/O diagnostics and manage motor controls including motor starters and control circuit installations.
- Carry out UPS installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable backup power systems.
- Manage cable laying, cable termination, wire stripping, crimping, and lugging tasks with precision.
- Operate various electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, voltage testers, and insulation testers to validate system integrity.
- Install and service distribution boards, circuit breakers, battery connections, and load distribution systems.
- Identify and resolve short circuits and power supply issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Perform earthing and grounding procedures to safeguard electrical installations and personnel.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain detailed documentation for all electrical activities performed onsite.
- Coordinate with project supervisors to ensure timely completion of electrical tasks and compliance with project schedules.
- Travel to project sites across Pakistan as required to support installation and maintenance activities.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe and optimal working condition.
