Senior FEA Engineer
Chore Robotics
Published Date: • Islamabad, Pakistan (Hybrid)
Description
Chore Robotics is seeking a Senior Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Engineer with a strong technical background and at least three years of professional experience. The successful candidate will leverage advanced expertise in simulation tools like ANSYS and SolidWorks to perform detailed structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses on complex electromechanical products. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering fundamentals, with the ability to critically interpret simulation outputs and align them closely with real-world physical behaviors. Although this position does not involve team management responsibilities, it plays a crucial role in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize product designs and ensure robustness. The ideal candidate demonstrates proficiency in various aspects of finite element modeling, including nonlinear analysis, modal and transient dynamics, as well as rigid body dynamics. Experience working on projects involving robotics, automotive systems, or machinery will be highly valued. The Senior FEA Engineer will independently drive simulation efforts, contribute to design decisions, and support product development cycles with precise and insightful analysis to meet Chore Robotics’ high standards for innovative and reliable robotic solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute detailed finite element models using ANSYS and SolidWorks to analyze structural integrity, thermal performance, and dynamic behavior of robotic and electromechanical components.
- Perform nonlinear analyses and complex simulations including transient dynamics, modal analysis, rigid body dynamics, and thermal evaluations to predict product performance under various operating conditions.
- Interpret simulation results with strong engineering judgment to identify design weaknesses, potential failure modes, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with design, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to integrate simulation insights into product development and engineering improvements.
- Validate simulation outcomes through comparison with experimental data or real-world testing to ensure accuracy and reliability of analyses.
- Support the development and implementation of best practices and guidelines for FEA within the engineering group.
- Troubleshoot simulation challenges, optimize models for accuracy and computational efficiency, and maintain simulation documentation for audit and knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with advances in FEA tools, methodologies, and industry trends relevant to electromechanical systems and robotics.
- Contribute technical expertise during design reviews and provide clear, actionable recommendations to stakeholders for structural and thermal enhancements.
- Assist in prototyping phases by using simulation-driven design to accelerate product iterations and reduce physical testing requirements.
