Description
CK Foods Holdings seeks an experienced Freelance AI Solutions Engineer to design, build, and deploy practical AI-enabled solutions across its diverse food group operations, which include manufacturing, processing, distribution, retail, and e-commerce. This hands-on technical role sits at the crossroads of artificial intelligence, software engineering, automation, and enterprise systems. The engineer will work across multiple functions such as manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, retail, commercial, and support to identify inefficiencies and implement scalable technology solutions that enhance productivity, improve data visibility, and boost operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Identify operational inefficiencies across manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, retail, commercial, and support functions to design scalable AI-enabled solutions that improve overall productivity and operational performance.
- Lead end-to-end project delivery, including discovery, solution design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of AI and automation solutions.
- Develop and implement intelligent workflows, internal applications, automation services, and agentic AI solutions using modern AI technologies such as large language models, AI agents, prompt engineering, and workflow orchestration.
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems including ERP, WMS, MRP, CRM, databases, middleware, and third-party platforms via REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, and data pipelines to streamline business processes and enhance data connectivity.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, HTML, .NET, or similar languages, adhering to software engineering best practices including version control, testing, and deployment.
- Design and maintain ETL pipelines, data warehousing solutions, and data integration workflows to ensure data integrity, security, and reliable access throughout the AI solution lifecycle.
- Collaborate effectively with the UK-based team during overlapping working hours to provide regular progress updates and incorporate feedback.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and collaboratively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with data security standards, access control policies, data governance, and system reliability throughout solution development and deployment.
- Operate independently as a freelancer, managing project scopes, meeting deadlines, and delivering measurable business value with commercially aware and solution-focused approaches.
- Stay current with evolving AI technologies, software engineering methods, and enterprise system integration trends to continually enhance solution quality and effectiveness.
