Description
Coalescence Solutions is looking for an experienced Android Developer with strong Flutter experience to join our development team.
The successful candidate will initially take ownership of our existing Flutter-based mobile applications, including ongoing development, maintenance, bug fixes, enhancements, API integrations, and application releases.
We are also transitioning toward dedicated native mobile applications. The developer will therefore work on the development of our native Android application and, once the native application is established, will primarily take ownership of Android development and maintenance.
This is a hands-on development role for someone who is comfortable working independently, understanding an existing codebase, solving problems, and taking responsibility for features from development through deployment.
Required Skills
- 4–6 years of professional mobile application development experience.
- Strong experience developing native Android applications.
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin.
- Good working knowledge of Java.
- Strong practical experience with Flutter and Dart.
- Strong understanding of the Android SDK, application lifecycle, permissions, services, notifications, and background processing.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON-based data.
- Experience with mobile authentication, secure storage, and application security fundamentals.
- Good understanding of Flutter state management and application architecture.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong debugging, profiling, and application optimization skills.
- Experience preparing and publishing production applications through the Google Play Console.
- Good understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and responsive layouts.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Firebase, push notifications, maps and location services, deep linking, payment integrations, CI/CD pipelines, and migration or redevelopment of Flutter applications into native Android applications will be considered an advantage.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a developer who can take ownership of the work rather than simply complete assigned tasks.
The ideal candidate should be capable of understanding an existing mobile application, identifying technical issues, proposing practical solutions, and independently carrying features through development, testing, and deployment.
The position will initially involve both Flutter and native Android development, with the role gradually becoming more focused on native Android development and ownership.
Employment Details
Location: Karachi, Pakistan – Onsite
Working Hours: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Working Schedule: Friday off and alternate Saturdays off
Experience Required: 4–6 Years
Salary: PKR 120,000 – 140,000 per month
The final salary offered will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, interview performance, and the company’s internal assessment methodology. Please note that all offers for this position will fall strictly within the advertised monthly salary range.
Preferred Availability: December 2026, subject to completion of the recruitment process and mutual agreement.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, enhance, and support the existing Flutter/Dart mobile application.
- Develop new features and resolve bugs, crashes, and performance issues.
- Design and develop the company's native Android application using Kotlin and Java where required.
- Take long-term ownership of Android application development and maintenance.
- Integrate mobile applications with existing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces based on provided designs and requirements.
- Handle mobile-specific functionality including authentication, notifications, permissions, local storage, background processes, and device integrations.
- Diagnose and resolve application compatibility, performance, API, and device-specific issues.
- Manage Android application builds, signing, versioning, and releases through the Google Play Console.
- Maintain clean and structured source code using Git-based version control.
- Collaborate with other members of the development team.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and properly documented code.
- Participate in the gradual transition from the existing Flutter application to dedicated native mobile applications.
