Description
Computer House seeks a QA Manager with at least three years of relevant experience to strengthen the quality of its products, services, and delivery processes. The role establishes practical quality standards, checks that work meets agreed requirements, identifies risks early, and supports consistent improvement. The successful candidate applies Quality Management Systems and Quality Control practices to plan and carry out reviews, document results, investigate issues, and help teams prevent recurring defects. The position requires sound judgment, organized record keeping, and the ability to turn quality findings into clear actions. It does not require prior experience managing a team or include direct people-management responsibilities; instead, the role coordinates quality activities with relevant contributors and promotes shared accountability for quality.
The QA Manager works with stakeholders across Computer House to understand requirements, set acceptance criteria, plan inspections and tests, and confirm that corrective actions are completed. The role maintains clear quality records, monitors trends, communicates risks, and provides timely updates to support informed decisions. It also reviews existing processes, recommends improvements, and helps ensure that changes are assessed before release or delivery. Candidates bring at least three years of experience in quality assurance or a related field and use a structured, evidence-based approach to protect customer needs and business standards. The position focuses on strong quality practices, dependable outcomes, and continuous improvement without assuming direct supervision of other employees.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve quality plans, procedures, work instructions, and acceptance criteria that reflect Computer House requirements and customer expectations.
- Apply Quality Management Systems principles to define how teams plan, perform, document, and review quality activities throughout the product or service lifecycle.
- Translate business, customer, and technical requirements into clear, measurable quality checks that contributors can apply consistently.
- Review requirements and proposed changes before work begins to identify missing details, conflicting expectations, delivery risks, and quality concerns.
- • Prepare inspection and test plans that describe scope, coverage, methods, expected results, records, and ownership for each quality check.
- • Coordinate quality reviews with relevant contributors and clarify responsibilities, timing, evidence requirements, and escalation paths without assuming direct team management.
- • Perform or arrange reviews, inspections, and tests to confirm that products, services, processes, and deliverables meet documented requirements.
- • Use appropriate functional, integration, regression, acceptance, and exploratory testing methods when the work involves software or technology products.
- • Verify that test cases cover important user journeys, expected outcomes, error conditions, boundary cases, and applicable operational requirements.
- • Check that test environments, test data, tools, and supporting records are suitable for the work and produce repeatable results.
- • Record test outcomes accurately, link results to relevant requirements, and retain evidence in a consistent and accessible format.
- • Identify, document, classify, and track defects or process nonconformities from discovery through resolution and verification.
- • Write issue reports that explain the observed behavior, expected behavior, steps to reproduce, impact, supporting evidence, and current status.
- • Assess the severity, likelihood, customer impact, and business risk of quality issues to help stakeholders prioritize corrective work.
- • Work with relevant contributors to clarify defects, review proposed fixes, confirm scope, and agree on practical resolution criteria.
- • Retest completed fixes and check related areas to confirm that the issue is resolved and that changes have not introduced new defects.
- • Investigate recurring or high-impact issues using evidence and structured root cause analysis rather than relying on assumptions.
- • Recommend corrective and preventive actions that address the source of quality problems and reduce the chance of recurrence.
- • Track corrective actions to completion, confirm that owners provide appropriate evidence, and assess whether the actions achieve the intended result.
- • Monitor quality measures such as defect levels, test coverage, review completion, rework, failure rates, and corrective action status.
- • Analyze quality data for trends, recurring weaknesses, process gaps, and emerging risks, and present findings in clear, relevant reports.
- • Provide stakeholders with timely updates on quality status, test progress, open issues, release risks, and decisions that require attention.
- • Escalate significant quality risks promptly, explain their likely impact, and offer evidence-based options for addressing them.
- • Support release and delivery decisions by summarizing test results, unresolved issues, accepted risks, and outstanding quality requirements.
- • Verify that required quality checks and approvals are complete before a product, service, process change, or deliverable moves to the next stage.
- • Review change requests and process updates to assess their potential quality impact and identify any additional checks or documentation required.
- • Maintain organized records for plans, requirements, test cases, results, issues, approvals, audits, and corrective actions.
- • Ensure quality records are accurate, current, traceable, appropriately protected, and available to authorized stakeholders when needed.
- • Conduct periodic process reviews or internal quality audits to check whether documented practices are followed and remain effective.
- • Document audit findings clearly, distinguish observations from nonconformities, and agree on reasonable follow-up actions with relevant stakeholders.
- • Review supplier, partner, or externally provided deliverables against agreed specifications and quality expectations when applicable.
- • Examine customer feedback, service reports, and reported defects to identify quality concerns and opportunities to improve the customer experience.
- • Recommend improvements to quality procedures, testing methods, tools, templates, and reporting based on evidence and practical outcomes.
- • Assess the benefits and risks of proposed process improvements, support their implementation, and measure whether they improve quality or efficiency.
- • Encourage preventive quality practices by helping contributors address requirements, design, process, and testing risks early in the delivery lifecycle.
- • Share clear guidance on quality standards, test practices, defect reporting, and record keeping with contributors who participate in quality activities.
- • Support consistent use of approved procedures while identifying cases where a procedure needs clarification, review, or formal revision.
- • Coordinate with product, engineering, operations, support, and other relevant functions to resolve quality concerns and maintain aligned expectations.
- • Help stakeholders distinguish between a confirmed defect, a requirement gap, a user concern, and an improvement request by reviewing evidence and context.
- • Maintain awareness of relevant quality practices and apply methods that fit Computer House products, services, delivery processes, and risk profile.
- • Protect the integrity of test results and quality records by reporting findings objectively, including unfavorable results and unresolved concerns.
- • Handle customer, product, and business information responsibly and follow applicable company policies for confidentiality and data protection.
- • Plan quality work in line with delivery priorities, dependencies, available information, and identified risks, and raise constraints that could affect coverage.
- • Keep quality plans and records current as requirements, schedules, product behavior, or delivery conditions change.
- • Confirm that acceptance criteria are specific enough to support consistent decisions and that stakeholders understand the basis for approval.
- • Review completed work against agreed criteria and communicate any gaps with clear evidence and practical next steps.
- • Support the creation and maintenance of reusable test cases, checklists, templates, and reference materials to improve consistency across projects.
- • Identify opportunities to automate repeatable checks where appropriate, and assess whether automated results remain reliable and relevant.
- • Use defect tracking and test management tools to maintain traceability, support collaboration, and provide a dependable view of quality status.
- • Participate in lessons-learned reviews and translate relevant findings into updated practices, checks, or preventive measures.
- • Balance thoroughness with delivery needs by focusing quality effort on high-risk requirements, customer impact, and business-critical outcomes.
- • Provide a clear record of decisions, exceptions, and accepted risks so that quality status remains transparent throughout delivery.
- • Perform other quality assurance and quality control duties that reasonably support Computer House standards, customer needs, and business objectives.
