Confidential Immigration seeks an experienced Australian Immigration Lawyer or Legal Professional specializing in skilled and employer-sponsored immigration cases. The ideal candidate possesses at least five years of relevant experience with a strong focus on compliance with Australian immigration laws and regulations. This role involves managing case assessments, preparing and processing visa applications, and ensuring adherence to the Migration Act 1958 and related regulations. The professional is responsible for compiling and managing comprehensive legal documentation, coordinating with Registered Migration Agents (RMAs), and effectively navigating the complexities of employer-sponsored visa processing. This position does not involve team management but requires strong independent case handling capabilities. The role demands detailed legal research and analysis to interpret regulatory requirements and provide accurate guidance throughout the visa application process. The successful candidate demonstrates proficiency in utilizing relevant platforms such as ImmiAccount and ImmiPortal to submit and follow up on applications, ensuring compliance at every stage. They must also excel in organizing evidence, maintaining precise documentation, and coordinating efficiently with stakeholders to deliver successful immigration outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough case assessments for skilled and employer-sponsored visa applications in line with Australian immigration regulations.
- Prepare, review, and organize legal documentation, evidence, and paperwork essential to immigration case files.
- Manage visa application processing, including submission via ImmiAccount and ImmiPortal and subsequent follow-up communications.
- Interpret and apply the Migration Act 1958 and supporting Migration Regulations to ensure full legal compliance in all cases.
- Perform detailed legal research and analysis to support case strategy and regulatory interpretation.
- Coordinate effectively with Registered Migration Agents (RMAs) and other relevant authorities to facilitate case progress.
- Ensure strict adherence to documentation and filing procedures relevant to immigration law and compliance standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in immigration law and policy affecting skilled and employer-sponsored visas.
- Handle employer-sponsored visa processes, ensuring employers and applicants meet all legal requirements and compliance obligations.
- Provide professional and timely responses to queries from clients and government departments regarding visa applications and status updates.
- Support the preparation and presentation of cases for review by immigration authorities when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive client information and legal matters throughout the case lifecycle.
