This role involves performing detailed quantity takeoffs, reading and interpreting blueprints, and preparing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects. The ideal candidate collaborates closely with project managers and procurement teams to develop precise project budgets, ensuring the delivery of cost-effective solutions. This position requires a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency, utilizing material takeoff software to support estimating processes. Although this role does not involve team management, the ability to work independently and communicate effectively within project teams is essential. In this role, the Construction Estimator Takeoff professional will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications to calculate material quantities and anticipate project costs. The position demands a thorough understanding of construction terminology, construction methods, and industry-standard estimating practices. The estimator plays a key role in helping the company submit competitive bids and maintain project profitability. Attention to detail and the ability to work under deadlines are critical attributes for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from blueprints and construction documents using material takeoff software.
• Prepare detailed construction cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Analyze architectural and engineering drawings to identify scope of work and estimate project components.
• Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to develop and refine project budgets.
• Review and verify project specifications and scope to ensure comprehensive and precise estimates.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction costs, market trends, and pricing data to support estimating accuracy.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest alternative materials or methods when applicable.
• Compile and present estimation reports to internal stakeholders and clients as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company guidelines and industry standards during the estimating process.
• Meet project deadlines by organizing and prioritizing estimation tasks efficiently.
