Cultural Fusion seeks a talented and imaginative Fashion Designer specializing in Women's Eastern Wear to join their creative team. This role demands a strong passion for Pakistani fashion combined with a keen eye for seasonal fabric trends, contemporary silhouettes, and commercial design principles. The designer is responsible for developing elegant and innovative prêt and unstitched collections that uphold the company's design identity and meet market demands. The position is based in Lahore and requires close collaboration with production and development teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of seasonal collections. The ideal candidate possesses 2 to 4 years of experience in designing Pakistani Eastern Wear with a sound understanding of fabric selection, print development, garment construction, and finishing techniques. They excel in transforming trend research into captivating designs and work effectively with various fabrics such as Lawn, Cambric, Khaddar, and Silk Karandi. While not managing a team, the designer coordinates extensively with pattern makers, stitchers, and production units, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to final product. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design software is essential to deliver precise designs that align with commercial goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on Pakistani and global Eastern fashion trends, focusing on colors, prints, embellishments, and silhouettes to inspire innovative design concepts.
• Design seasonal prêt and unstitched collections including Summer, Winter, Spring, Festive, and Casual wear, maintaining alignment with brand aesthetics and market preferences.
• Create detailed sketches, technical drawings, mood boards, and design specifications that effectively communicate design ideas to production teams.
• Develop unique textile and print designs, embroidery, and surface ornamentation to enhance the artistic appeal and product differentiation.
• Select appropriate fabrics, colors, trims, laces, necklines, sleeve designs, and finishing touches to ensure the highest quality and brand consistency.
• Collaborate closely with pattern makers, stitching units, and printing vendors to oversee the creation of prototypes, ensuring designs are accurately executed.
• Supervise sampling and fitting sessions for all designs, making necessary adjustments to achieve perfect fit, finish, and stylistic accuracy before mass production.
• Ensure consistency in fabric quality, garment construction, fittings, and finishing to uphold brand standards and customer satisfaction.
• Balance creativity with commercial viability by considering production costs, market trends, and customer preferences when developing collections.
• Support overall collection planning and product development schedules to guarantee timely launches for seasonal fashion lines.
• Utilize advanced design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Procreate to produce high-quality fashion illustrations and design presentations.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and tools in fashion design and apply them effectively for design development and image editing.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining attention to detail across all work.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing and sales to align design concepts with broader brand strategies and consumer insights.
