Description
Dekalb Trade Voice is seeking a dedicated Accountant and Financial Auditor with a strong foundation in financial reporting, audit planning, and compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring adherence to local tax laws and regulatory requirements in Pakistan, and conducting thorough audits to evaluate internal control systems within manufacturing and trading environments. This role requires a professional who can prepare comprehensive financial statements, manage accounts payable and receivable, and coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants to support business operations effectively. The position demands a detail-oriented individual adept at identifying financial risks and discrepancies. The candidate must have excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as SAP or Oracle Financials. While the role does not include team management responsibilities, it requires effective collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent professional certifications like ACCA or CA is mandatory, along with three years of practical experience in bookkeeping, corporate accounting, or auditing.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, ensuring accurate processing of cash flow and liquidity.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, including reconciliation with vendors and customers.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and perform bank reconciliations regularly to reflect true financial status.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that comply with IFRS and local regulations.
- Ensure strict compliance with Pakistan tax laws, including timely FBR filings and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with tax consultants and external auditors during audits to ensure audit readiness.
- Review accounting records, vouchers, payments, and receipts to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Evaluate and test internal control systems to identify potential financial risks or fraudulent activities.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and verify the accuracy of inventory and asset management records.
- Ensure company operations align with International Accounting Standards (IAS/IFRS) and local legal frameworks.
- Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Monitor accounting software systems such as SAP or Oracle Financials for optimal use and data integrity.
- Assist in billing activities and cashier operations as part of the financial control process.
- Stay updated with IFRS compliance and reporting standards to maintain up-to-date financial practices.
- Develop and implement procedures that enhance cost control and increase efficiency within financial operations.
