Dekalb Trade Voice seeks a skilled Cut-to-Pack Production Manager or Engineer to oversee the complete garment and glove manufacturing process in the textile and leather industry in Sialkot. This role is responsible for managing operations from raw fabric cutting through final packing, ensuring high-quality output while meeting strict deadlines. The manager leads a large team of 150 individuals, coordinating across multiple departments to achieve seamless production flow and maintain export standards for activewear, teamwear, and specialized apparel. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering or a related technical field, has five years of relevant experience in a cut-to-pack environment, and possesses strong skills in lean manufacturing and industrial sewing processes.
Responsibilities
The Cut-to-Pack Production Manager or Engineer monitors and controls the entire production lifecycle on the shop floor. Key daily activities include overseeing fabric issuance, pattern cutting, sublimation and printing, stitching, finishing, and packing. The manager ensures production orders are completed efficiently, meeting required quality standards and shipping schedules. Managing line efficiency is critical; responsibilities include balancing production lines, optimizing workflows, maximizing machine usage, and boosting operator productivity. The role enforces Standard Operating Procedures and quality checkpoints to minimize alterations, product rejections, and rework.
This position requires close collaboration with merchandising, planning, and various shop floor departments to synchronize production schedules and resource allocation. Supervising a large workforce, the manager handles manpower planning, shift scheduling, and performance monitoring of machine operators and supervisors. The role demands the implementation of lean manufacturing concepts such as 5S and Lean Six Sigma to continuously improve production processes and reduce waste, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to safety protocols.
