Description
The Orphanage Residential Houseparent serves as a dedicated caregiver who acts in loco parentis, providing comprehensive care and supervision to orphaned or abandoned children. This role demands a compassionate individual who fosters a nurturing and structured home environment focused on the physical, emotional, social, and moral development of children. The Houseparent expertly manages daily routines such as meals, hygiene, education, and religious activities while upholding cultural and spiritual values, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere for every child. In addition to routine management, the Houseparent plays a critical role in the emotional and behavioral wellbeing of the children. This involves offering trauma-informed support, facilitating character-building discipline, and promoting resilience. They maintain detailed records of children’s progress and oversee resource management for their residential unit. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in childcare or related fields, excellent interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for child welfare without managing a team directly.
